Paris Wedding & Portrait Photographer
Weddings, elopements and portraits in Paris. Watched closely, composed carefully, and edited by hand — every single frame.
Welcome
Photographs that still mean something in twenty years
I am Ozgur Canbulat, a photographer based in Paris. I photograph weddings, elopements, couples and portraits here, across France, and wherever else the day happens to be.
The approach is a balance of two things: documentary observation, which keeps the day honest, and editorial composition, which keeps it beautiful. Neither one on its own is enough.
How I work
Documentary, not directed
Most of what you will want to remember is not on any shot list — your father going quiet during the speeches, the ten minutes you finally got alone.
So I photograph the day as it runs, and step in only when direction genuinely helps.
Every photograph edited by hand
I edit every delivered photograph myself, one at a time. Nothing is passed to an outside studio and nothing is run through a preset in bulk.
It is slower, and it is the reason a gallery takes 3 to 4 weeks rather than three days.
One photographer, all day
I work alone. One photographer, one consistent point of view, and one person for you to keep track of — which for most weddings is exactly the right number.
1,500+ frames are taken across a day. You receive the 500 to 800 that earn their place.
Selected work
Fifteen photographs, not two hundred
A short sequence from weddings, elopements and couple sessions in Paris. The full portfolio runs to 89.
What I photograph
The stories I photograph
- Paris Weddings The whole day, told properly — from the quiet of the morning to the last of the dancing.
- Elopements Two people, a mairie or a garden, and nobody to perform for.
- Couples & Engagements A walk through the city that happens to be photographed.
- Proposals Planned in advance, photographed from a distance, and never noticed.
- Portraits Editorial portraiture on location, in daylight, without a studio.
Meet the photographer
I came to photography from music
I studied music at university, went back years later to teach it as a professor, and spent a long stretch playing with improvisational jazz bands in several countries.
That is not a charming aside. Improvising taught me the thing this job actually requires: how to listen to a room, feel where it is going, and be ready a half-second before it gets there.
How it works
From first message to finished photographs
-
Connect
Tell me the date, the place and what you are imagining. I will tell you straight away whether I am free and whether I am right for it.
-
Plan
We settle the timing, the locations and the light. Most of what makes a day feel relaxed is decided weeks before it happens.
-
Photograph
You get on with your day. I watch for the moments, and step in only when direction genuinely helps.
-
Receive
Your photographs arrive in 3 to 4 weeks, selected and edited one by one — never batch-processed.
Let’s make something worth keeping
